nod says who you are
It is one sign-in for your apps: you are the same person in every one of them, proven by an account you already have. It does not say what you may do; each app decides that.
For an organization, such as a school or a company, nod is its own sign-in for its own people and apps, kept apart from every other organization on it.
What nod does today:
- Sign in with Google.
- One identifier for each person, the same in every app, and never Google's.
- No passwords: nod stores none.
- It passes the OpenID Foundation's FAPI 2.0 conformance tests.
- An installable library for Node apps.
- A reference to quote when a sign-in fails.
nod is not open to other organizations yet.
